Hotspot from Mercator Geosystems is a tool for visualizing densities in point data. It takes the centroids of objects of any
MapInfo map (typically point data) and generates a MapInfo grid that represents the spatial density
of the data.
Hotspot was initally developed as a crime analysis tool and has since been modified for use in other
areas
