This program was developed by Forestry Canada to allow field staff to make quick, accurate conversions between various systems of location, including Alberta legal land descriptions (ATS), latitude and longitude (lat-long) and UTM coordinates. This is actually a subroutine in a much larger program designed to make effective use of manpower and supplies during forest fire season. The GEO program is straight-forward, although not extremely user-friendly. To the best of my knowledge, there are no restrictions in copying or use of this program.
